Take a moment to consider the questions below in relation to how performance review conversations may have gone for you in the past. Use a student teacher review meeting if you have had experience with them.

In your school...
Do you currently have an activity profile or a checklist for use as reference during student teacher meetings to help a conversation flow easily?
Is there a regular, timed meeting that takes place in addition to "quick, unscheduled meetings"?
Are the goals and objectives for all of the participants in the program flexible to allow for new demands and for changes in the work flow and in everyone's goals?
Do the participants keep a written log or journal to record their experiences to be discussed later during a meeting?
Overall, do you think experiences and achievements are effectively discussed and acknowledged to everyone's satisfaction?
